Privacy Policy — Chupa Rustam
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Chupa Rustam: Imposter Game ("the app") is a pass-and-play party game made by NOTyet (Varun Nadar). This policy explains what the app does with your information.
The short version
Your game data (player names, scores, settings) stays on your phone and is never sent to us. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google may collect some device information to show and measure those ads (see Ads below).
What the app stores, and where
To remember your game between sessions, the app saves the following only on your device:
- the player names you type in
- scores for the current game
- your settings (timer, category, number of imposters, decoy mode, vote mode, sound and vibration)
- a short list of recently used words and recent imposters, so rounds don't repeat
This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete it at any time from Settings → Clear all saved data, or by uninstalling the app.
Ads
The app shows small banner ads on the home screen, the discussion timer and the pass-the-phone screens. It never shows full-screen ads. Ads never appear on the screens where you see your word or vote. They are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device information to serve, personalise and measure ads, and to prevent fraud. Google's use of this data is covered by its policies: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- In regions where the law requires it (for example the EU and UK), the app asks for your consent before ads are personalised, using Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings (Google → Ads).
- We (the developer) do not receive your personal data from AdMob; we only see anonymous totals such as how many ads were shown.
What the app does not do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics of our own
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone or file access
- The game itself works fully offline; the internet is only used to load ads
Permissions
The app asks Android for vibration (for the reveal and timer), audio settings (to play sound effects), internet and network state (to load ads) and the advertising ID (used by AdMob).
In-app purchases
If the app offers paid word packs, payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Google's privacy policy applies to those purchases: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
